During the early 1990s a Danish company required a compact inline actuator, however as a suitable product was not available on the market, a new design was developed. This new design was nominated for several design prizes, and based on that Concens was formed. Current Limiting Controller

The C2-10 controller is designed for controlling start/stop and fwd/rev of linear actuators whilst offering current limiting protection to the actuator and the load. On board potentiometers allow the adjust of the acceleration/deceleration ramps and the current limiting setting. A kick-start feature delivers up to 55A for 250ms to overcome initial starting friction and the effects of the load inertia. Other feature include a fault input/output, dynamic braking and status LED.
