During the early 1990s a Danish company required a compact inline actuator, however as a suitable product was not available on the market, a new design was developed. This new design was nominated for several design prizes, and based on that Concens was formed. From the very start the goal of Concens was to design and manufacture powerful & compact inline actutors. Concens is driven by strong values of commitment, versatility and flexibility. Positioning Controller

The C2-20 controller is designed for positioning applications for single actuators. Movement of the actuator is determine by an analogue reference voltage (0-5.4V or 0-10.8V). As the controller requires position feedback, the actuator is fitted with hall sensors. The controller must perform a "learning" cycle when first connected to the actuator to calculate the working stroke. In addition to controlling position, the C2-20 also provides current limiting protection, soft start/stop, range scaling, dead band, speed limiting and trip output.
